Darfurby wants you.
Darfurby is a creative approach to engaging people everywhere in raising awareness of the Darfur crisis. Darfurby is also an invitation to use your creativity and passion to speak out against genocide - anywhere. Use any Furbies you can find to make videos, stage protests, and in other ways brighten the spotlight on the human rights situation in Darfur, Sudan where more than 200,000 people have been killed as a result of ethnic conflict and another 2 million have been displaced from their homes. Nearly half the population of the Darfur region subsists on foreigh aid. Add your voice now. If you're a student, get your friends and families to help the children and people of Darfur as well as the nine million other refugees around the world. - Need more background on the situation in Sudan? "What can I do, I’m just one person?" It’s easy and there are lots of ways you can make a difference. [link to action page] Some of the simplest ways are to grab your Furby from the back of the closet and send it to darfurby.org and it will become part of the ever-growing Darfurby Refugee Camp School Tour. While you’re reading this site, take the few minutes it will take to Help Save Lives Now. And then let your friends and family know that they can make a difference -- in just a few minutes. |
